DATA PRIVACY STATEMENT FOR THE GTS MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION

In accordance with § 33 of the BDSG (German Federal Data Protection Act), we would like to point out that for the purpose of membership administration and support services, the data acquired in this membership application will be stored, processed and used in automated files.

By signing this membership application form, the applicant declares his/her consent to the electronic acquisition, processing and use of this data by the Association of Thermal Sprayers e.V., hereinafter referred to as GTS, and is aware that membership cannot be granted without this consent.

Transfer of members’ data

In order to fulfil the purpose and tasks of the association as defined in § 2 of the Statutes, GTS is obliged to transfer the following data relating to members and persons:

• to the independent certification authority commissioned by GTS:
  contact data of company and of member company’s representative, membership status;
• to co-organizers of technical events or co-exhibitors at trade fairs in accordance with § 2.1.3 of the GTS Statutes: contact data of company, surname, first name, telephone, e-mail.

The transfer or sale of personal or company-related data by GTS for other purposes will not take place.

By signing the membership application, the applicant consents to this transmission within the framework of the association’s objectives.

Publication of data and photos

The applicant agrees that within the framework of the association’s objectives, in particular in accordance with § 2.1.3 of the Statutes and statutory events, GTS may publish his/her personal and company-related data and photos in the association’s journal, members directory and on its homepage and, if necessary, send these to print and other media.

This consent applies in particular to reports on the annual general meetings with accompanying workshop and social program, reports on distinctions and awards and reports on meetings of the various GTS bodies and committees.

An objection can be filed with the Executive Board against the publication of individual photos and personal data at any time provided this does not impede the obligations described under “Transfer of members’ data” in order to fulfil the association’s objectives in accordance with the Statutes.
